Voya Seaweed Baths Sligo

Voya Seaweed Baths Sligo

I live by the sea. Yet I have never bathed in Seaweed!

That is until Friday last when I ventured to VOYA seaweed baths in Strandhill, Sligo.

Impressed by the professional and friendly welcome I was shown to my very own private bathing room with steam/shower cubicle and a bath filled with seaweed. Aisling – (whom you can hear on our audio) had earlier ran through what to expect and as all the staff had beautiful clear complexions and shiny hair I decided to make the most of this!

I made sure I had first cleansed my face then had a steam to open my pores. Turning off the steam (so as not to needlessly fill the room with steam and dampen my clothes) I stepped into a bath full of seaweed.

Honestly.. I was a bit – OMG what the heck am I doing..until I actually sat in the bath when I decided that I loved this gelatinous liquid covering my skin and making me feel nourished and soothed.

The seaweed bath is nice and warm – you can add hot and cold water to suit and you’re given a jug of cold drinking water to keep hydrated throughout. I sat back and relaxed letting my hair get covered in this natural seaweed conditioner  until my time was up!

Some people prefer to leave the shower until the next day at home letting the goodness of the seaweed benefit their skin longer, however, as I was heading out and about later I decided to have a shower – nicely provisioned with VOYA seaweed shower gel, shampoo and conditioner, then got dressed and drifted back into reality.

I say drifted as I was so relaxed afterwards I didn’t do any blogs or tweets until 8pm or so that night! Whoops!!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
