West Waterford Festival Of Food
Taking place in beautiful Dungarvan the annual West Waterford Festival Of Food (#wwfof ) began yesterday and is continuing right through the weekend. If you like food and a festival atmosphere then you simply must get your self down to Dungarvan now!
There are loads of family friendly events and very affordable foraging events. I had hoped to go myself but alas I cannot make it 🙁
Here’s my pick if I could go today!!
I would head down to Seafood Saturday Cois Cé – Davitt’s Quay, Dungarvan Harbour (1:30pm 5:30pm -Demo’s, displays, food and activities) for an hour or two.
Then I would make my way to the Crude Food Trail, Colligan Woods for 3pm & go foraging in the wild and learn all about the incredible edibles which grow all around
After a few pints in the Moorings bar and restaurant – where I would stay the night in their accommodation I would make my way to the special €25 menu sitting at 8.45 in Interlude Restaurant.
After this delicious meal I would pop back across the road to the Moorings to finish off the night and head upstairs to bed in preparation for the mornings Seaweed Seminar on Clonea Beach at 10:30am for a foraging walk on the beach..
Sigh.. So if you can go please do!
