It was a last-minute idea – we popped off to Waterford City for a day and we can’t wait to get back again!
One thing that struck us was the FRIENDLINESS of everyone we met – including the gorgeously talented Lisa of PebbleArt.ie who creates wondrous pieces of Art and Sculpture from found objects. We ADORE this ‘Village’ piece and those mirrors! How COOL are they?
We stumbled upon The Good Wardrobe – Sustainably sourced clothing and gifts – and met Mily Designs who was a pure delight to chat with.
One Christmas Gift Purchased here!
I had done some research online beforehand and found the shoe shop Shoobaloo which looked interesting – alas on this occasion it didn’t have what I was looking for – however, it turns out that upstairs is a Secondhand Designer shop!
Well, I was in heaven! It was like playing dress up with someone’s very cool wardrobe – I did get this pretty Christmas-vibe sequin jumpsuit which I LOVE!
Great staff and a bit of fun!
I can also HIGHLY RECOMMEND The Stable Yard Food Hall for AMAZING STAFF, FOOD , COFFEE AND GIFTS!
Seriously – the girls there were SO friendly and knowledgeable! As for the food – YUM! Gorgeous Artisan foods abound with Christmas Gift Hampers to entice and delight the food lover in your life!
Waterford is Irelands’ oldest city and is packed with exciting history including the VERY cool Viking Triangle – We plan to visit again and book one of these tours!
We were recommended the Tower Hotel in Waterford and were DELIGHTED to find a Riverview room awaited us! Shout out to @whatsonwow for the recommendation and also to Caroline at reception who made us feel so incredibly WELCOME!
The view was incredible and the space in the room was gorgeous!
We found the Missing Elves Poster really funny & the kids in the hotel were crazy for it!
Many thanks to Caroline again for the recommendation of McLearys Restaurant on the Quay in Waterford for dinner. Walk In only and wow! So delicious – atmosphere, staff, food and wine. (We still talk about it daily lol!)
