Walking in the Wilds of Connemara with Hilltop Treks

Those of you who listened in to #Goddesshour on RadioActive.ie recently will have heard myself and Terry from Hilltop Treks talking about outdoor activities. Terry will be guiding us for our Camino de santiago fundraising walk up Lugnaquillia this May (details to be announced shortly).
In the meantime here are details on a great fun weekend away in the wilds of Connemara – Fabulous!

  • May 16th – 18th
  • 2 Nights B&B and 1 Dinner @ €175 pps (€155 to members)
  • Guided Walks with local Walking Group.
  • Also Included in the package will be 1 packed lunch, drying facilities for cloths/gear and a traditional Irish Music session in the bar on one evening.

We will be staying at the Carna Bay Hotel in the small town of Crana on the West coast of Ireland in the Heart of Connemara and just a few miles south of Clifden.
The walks will be lead by a local walking group called “An Cumann Spáisteoireachta” (Gaelic for Ramblers) who have very kindly offered to assist with this weekend. Dermot Quish is a member of this local walking group.
Connemara is a wonderful place for walking with some fantastic shore lines, beaches and mountain ranges to explore. For those of you who have never walked in this area before this is a great opportunity to do so with some locals.
All welcome.
