SmallChanges is more than a shop. It is a community based hotspot for all things eco friendly. SmallChanges‘ ethos is to support and educate people interested in improving their lifestyle and that of the world around them.
SmallChanges began about 4 years ago as a result of owner Peadar Rices’ personal experience (having been ill for some years) of the difficulties incurred when sourcing healthy organic foods and products. Peadar found that the products he was looking for were not only difficult to source but also unreliably stocked or simply too expensive.
Determined to change the foods he ate and the products he used he decided to setup his own health food shop in Gorey.
SmallChanges has since grown to include an online store from which you can order from the comfort of your own home and products are delivered the following day NATIONWIDE 32 counties (Mon-Thurs).
The choice of products is customer based – If your looking for a product not yet stocked, SmallChanges will source it for you and ensure that they then have it in stock regularly, thus SmallChanges‘ customers can be confident that they will be able to get the products they want regularly which in turn enables them to continue on their own journey of making eco friendly sustainable changes to their lifestyles.
This journey of making small changes to ones lifestyle is the underlying mission of SmallChanges . Many of us are looking to make a positive change in how we source food, clothing and other products yet the idea of a sudden change of lifestyle can be quite overwhelming.
SmallChanges is there to break this journey into smaller steps by offering information, support, advice, tips and of course access to the products that enables us to make the small changes to our lives that will ultimately result in a more eco friendly sustainable lifestyle.
Community is very important to all the team at SmallChanges and there are many regular events held on the premises including

- Yoga classes
- Blue Jellyfish drama classes for young adults with intellectual disabilities.
- Arts and Crafts Social Club for Adults
- Teenage Kung Fu
- Homeopathy and Reflexology
- Gardening Talks & More
Plans are currently underway for an exhibition area to support local artists and a community based HACCP kitchen for those interested in creating foods and products that can then be sold via the SmallChanges shop – both online and locally in Gorey.
This Co-Operative will be a great starting point for people looking to try and test new products in a safe environment at an affordable rate based on hourly rental fees.
For example you may keep bees and want to try your hand at making natural beauty products from the beeswax, or perhaps you grow your own veg and would like to see if you can create the next winning relish!
The driving ambition behind SmallChanges is to create a positive hub for like minded people enabling and supporting one another to make real positive changes to their lives and those around them.
The SmallChanges team send out a quarterly newsletter packed with seasonal recipes, tips, news and suggestions to help individuals on their journey to a more sustainable lifestyle.
SmallChanges plan to continue creating and supporting employment for local people in their local area. People who are fed up of the long commute to jobs they don’t even like. People who want to live a simpler more fulfilling life and feel a sense of community. People like you and me.
