New Years Sunrise Walk, 1st January 2014
From the centre the walk takes us into Brockagh forest where we join the Wicklow Way, taking us through the valley of Glenmacnass and onto Paddock Hill.
We follow the spur that guides us onto the summit of Scarr Mountain (641m).
Looking east across the Wicklow Mountains to the Irish Sea, we will witness the first sunrise of 2014.
Standing on the summit of Scarr watching that first sunrise will be the perfect start to a new and wonderful year.
The return journey takes us back to the Wicklow Way, back to the Brockagh Centre and on to the Glendalough Hotel for a well earned hearty breakfast.
