Have you ever driven through Kilrane and noticed the incredibly cute looking blue bungalow that reads: “The Kilrane At Gallery‘ and thought to yourself “I must pop in there someday”?
Well myself and my sister were passing recently and saw the proprietor, Patrick O’Reilly, outside preparing for reopening after Covid so we stopped and got out to have a chat. WHAT A GEM!
The art gallery houses unique original pieces of Art from local artists including painting, photography, crafts, jewellery and sculptures to name a few. I fell in love with a driftwood piece created by local artist Mary Yeo of Driftwood Art and it now hangs happily in my new home.
My sister and niece also purchased original art paintings and I was lucky enough to also receive a small gift of a ‘I Love my Dog’ apron which I love to wear cooking up my favourite meals! It;s an Aladdins’ cave of wonderful gifts and you would do very well to pop in the next time you’re passing as you are bound to find a treasure you will love and you will be supporting Pat and lot’s of talented local artists at the same time.
