Full Moon Walk

These Full Moon Walks are an excellent opportunity to see beautiful landscape by the light of the moon. The walks will be short 2-3 hr walks starting at 6pm in the evening during the Autumn / Winter months.
You will visit some of the most scenic parts of Wicklow and Dublin, places such as Glendalough, Luggala, Djouce and many more. If you have never had the opportunity to do some night walking then don’t miss this as it’s an altogether different experience.
About the walk:
The walk will take us from the Glendalough Hotel on part of St kevins Way along by the Glendassan river and onto the side of Camaderry from here we will follow a forest track down towards the upper lake. We will then continue on by Reefert church (The King’s Cemetry) and along the side of Derry Bawn (The White Oak) following a trail overlooking the monastic site and excellent views along the whole valley.
N.B. Another walk may be chosen on the night weather dependent but will be of the same length and time.

  • The walk will take approx 2.5 hrs
  • No previous walking experience required.

After the walk we can head back to Glendalough Hotel to catch up and enjoy a drink.
The Guides:
All the guides on theses walks are fully qualified and trained with REC3 1st Aid and Bos Recognised awards, so you are in safe hands.

  • You may also learn some night navigation, gain some knowledge of the stars and you could even experience a night time rainbow.

These walks are very popular so early booking is essential to confirm your place.
