Crann Og Eco Accommodation, Activities & Organic Farm
Well fed and revitalised (Thanks Leen Organics) I set off for my final stop off of the day – A ‘Place To Be’.. Crann Og just outside Gort in Galway.
Crann Og offer Eco Accommodation, Workshops and Spiritual Retreats year round. Community ethos is strong with money raised from events often going to local charities.
Nature and Health feature strongly with regular Yoga and Meditation workshops taking place and the site is available for those looking to hold workshops in a peaceful and natural space.
The ancient woodlands offer a space for reflection and getting back in touch with your natural self. Great fun for kids to play in too.
Teenature workshops are planned for 2015 whereby teens can get introduced to nature through Forest school education courses.
I found Crann Og to be highly inspirational – Flor’s use of found materials is astonishing (the playground!!) and the things that man can make with pallets will astound you!
I particularly loved the shared kitchen yurt with an open chimney to the stars.
