Aloha Surf School offers surfing classes and equipment hire to all levels of surfers from beginners to advanced.
The surf school was set up in 2004 by husband and wife team Pete and Ali. Pete has been surfing for over 30 years and coaching surfing for over over 20 years. In addition to his Beach Lifeguard and Surf Coach qualifications, Pete is also a Royal Lifesaving Society (RLSS) Beach and Pool Lifeguard Trainer and Assessor and trains Lifeguards year round up and down the country. He is also a qualified swim teacher and previously worked for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) as Coastal Safety Manager of their drowning prevention work in Ireland. Ali’s background is as an Ear Nose and Throat (ENT) Doctor and Surgeon and she now manages the day to day operations of the surf school. With all of this experience you can be assured you are in safe and experienced hands.
Pete and Ali has been working hard to create a chill out area for surfers to relax before and after their surf with hot showers, male/female changing rooms, chill zone and lots of cool mags/gear to rifle through afterwards.
Aloha also offer SUP (Stand Up Paddling) in nearby Ballyvaughan where the calm inlets and islands are ideal for a peaceful yet spectacular experience.
